Careers Information for Students & Parents

At Brighter Futures, we endeavour to deliver a Study Programme which offers students the opportunity to grow a versatile skillset, developing a range of transferable skills and improving competency and understanding of Maths and English alongside the industry specific knowledge which underpins the vocational programmes studied. All elements of the Study Programme will seek to improve these key skills required for future employment.

As a result, all students will receive a rounded curriculum encompassing Enrichment, titled the Honour Award, a substantial employability programme including a dedicated Work Placement, as well as their core vocational qualification. Maths and English development will be a core component of all students’ programme, in particular for those who will work towards GCSE or Functional Skill qualifications.

Brighter Futures’ comprehensive and detailed Work Experience, Career Development and Enrichment curriculum is detailed here, with the top-up curriculum for those studying a 2nd year with Brighter Futures available here.

The rounded approach to Brighter Futures’ Study Programmes will allow each student to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to positively progress upon completion of their studies with us. At Brighter Futures, we appreciate that each student is an individual and that we must tailor our approach where suitable to address their particular needs or starting points.

Our aim therefore is to allow students to explore the full breadth of employment or further educational opportunities available to them at the end of their programme. This will include, but not be limited to, potential career pathways in the vocational routes that Brighter Futures offer, as below;
